亞利桑那州 （Arizona）

如果你喜歡太魯閣峽谷的鬼斧神工，那你絕對不能錯過位於亞利桑那州的大峽谷。大峽谷被列為世界七大奇景之一，位於亞利桑那州的西北部，是克羅拉多河歷經數百萬年沖蝕而成的結果，每年吸引超過五百萬名的遊客造訪此地，而其中的紀念碑峽谷更是許多美國西部片的經典場景。

八世紀到十三世紀間，Pueblo人在此建立了一系列的公共懸岩宅，今日這些獨得特地形建築成為此地的一大文化特色。

這個繞富西部風情且具備壯烈歷史的州同時也是兩位偉大印地安酋長：柯奇斯以及哲爾尼摩的故鄉。而那場象徵著美國地方法治與地方犯罪之爭的OK牧場槍戰，也發生在亞利桑那州的湯瑪斯通鎮。

亞利桑那州是全美生產銅及非燃料礦物最盛的一州。而位於本州首府鳳凰城的亞利桑那州立大學，是舉世聞名的研究中心。

 

If you enjoy the view in Tai -Lu-Ge National Park, you cannot miss the Great Canyon which is located in the northwest of Arizona. As one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World", the Grand Canyon attracts nearly five million visitors each year, and Monument Valley's sandstone monoliths can be seen in many classic western films.

From about 700 A.D. to 1200 A.D. the indigenous Pueblo people built the great communal cliff dwellings which serve as testament to a remarkably unique culture.

This state had a tumultuous past. It was also the home of Geronimo and Cochise and set the scene for the "Gunfight at the OK Corral" where the score was finally settled between the Earps and the Clantons.

Arizona leads all states in the production of copper and non-fuel minerals. And Arizona State University, which based in the capital city, Phoenix, is a world renowned research center.
