倫敦大學學院（University College London, University of London，簡稱UCL），是一所創建於1826年的綜合性大學，也是倫敦大學的創校學院。UCL通常被認為是繼牛津、劍橋之後英格蘭第三古老的大學。UCL是第一個在招生上不論種族、宗教和政治信仰的英國大學，被認為是英國教育平權的先鋒。UCL一直以來與牛津大學、劍橋大學、帝國理工學院和倫敦政經學院一起並稱為「英國G5超級精英大學」，它也是「羅素集團」（Russell Group）的一員。UCL的全球綜合排名一直保持在全世界前25強。可以說是英國留學的首選之一。

UCL學生人數大約有１８,０００人，其中研究生占７,２７３。教職員人數約３,８００人，其中３５名為皇家院士Fellow of Royal Society，１３名為皇家工程學院院士Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering，２７名不列顛學會會員Fellows of British Academy，７５名醫學學會會員Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences。同時，UCL過去的成員中，有１８位諾貝爾獎得主，其中有１０名是諾貝爾生理學或醫學獎得主。

倫敦是英國的首都、第一大城及第一大港，也是歐洲最大的都會區之一兼世界三大金融中心之一。自１８世紀以來，倫敦一直是世界上最重要的政治、經濟、文化、藝術和娛樂中心之一。倫敦市區因常常充滿著潮濕的霧氣，因此有個叫「霧都」的別名。

舊有的「City of London」，仍保有其狹小的中世紀界線。然而現今的「倫敦」一詞，早已被廣泛地應用至包含其周邊地帶在內的整個大都市區。

做為兩千年來一個重要的定居點，倫敦現已發展成為世界重要的商業、經濟及文化中心，且其在政治、教育、娛樂、媒體、時尚及藝術方面的影響力，使它如同巴黎、紐約與東京一般，成為主要的全球都市之一。來英國留學一定要拜訪這個城市。

倫敦是歐盟中人口最多的城市，共擁有７７０萬人口，包含位於大都會區的１２-１４萬人。倫敦的人口組成十分國際化，吸引了多樣文化及宗教領域的居民，並使用超過３００種不同的語言。

倫敦同時也是國際的運輸中心，共擁有5個國際機場及一個大型港口。它是世界上最大的航空樞紐之一，其主要機場希斯洛比起世界上其他機場，運輸了數量更多的國際旅客。除此之外，倫敦還擁有歐洲最長的地鐵系統。交通便利對英國留學學生來說是很重要的。

而瑪莉皇后學院獨特的地理位置和迷人的校園風景吸引了許多遊人和來自世界各地的學生。瑪莉皇后學院位於充滿歷史遺跡、具多元化、充滿活力的倫敦東區的心臟地帶。倫敦東區除了以路邊市場及各式各樣的餐廳知名外，同時亦擁有許多公園、運河、河濱步道、及馬術與水上動力等各樣活動。這裏充滿著平靜，和諧，並且這裏的咖啡、酒吧、酒店、學生活動區、宿舍、銀行、書店和旅行社應有盡有，美不勝收，琳琅滿目。
