坎布里亞大學（University of Cumbria）於 ２００７年８月正式成立，由聖馬丁學院、坎布里亞藝術學院和中部蘭開夏郡大學的多個坎布里亞區校園合併而成，主要校園位於湖區歷史悠久的中心城市卡萊爾 （Carlisle） 及 蘭開斯特（Lancaster）。

坎布里亞大學（University of Cumbria）開設了廣泛的大學部和研究所學位，課程包涵語文、藝術、商業、社會科學、法律、運動、健康等。坎布里亞大學對於學生福利和服務方面做得十分細緻體貼，教學品質優良，並於最近的高等教育評鑑 （QAA） 中獲得２０.６分的高分（總分為２４）。對這個項目很在意的同學，來英國留學不妨考慮這所學校。
