諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）一所校址位於英國英格蘭中部地區諾丁漢郡的研究型大學，於西元１９４８年獲頒皇家特許狀改制為大學，同時亦是第二次世界大戰後第一所新興的大學。初創於１８８１年，作為倫敦大學的附屬學院並透過倫敦大學名義頒給證書，屬於紅磚大學時期成立的學校，在中國的寧波和馬來西亞的吉隆坡設有兩處海外分校。諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）的醫學學校是英國在２０世紀第一個設立的醫學學校。在教學品質與研究方面的傑出表現使它在英國的大學排名中一直名列前茅，１９９６／９７年度該大學獲取高達四千六百萬英鎊研究經費獎助，此優異的成果讓本校成為全英國前四所贏得最多工商業界提供研究經費的大學之一。

諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）學生總人數約有３００００名，來自１４３３個國家。超過六千名的國際學生。諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）是所位於英格蘭東密德蘭的研究及教育大學。為「羅素集團」Russell Group及「高校聯盟Universitas ２１」成員之一。英國的日報經常將其列為英國１０所頂尖大學之一。而該大學並於２００６年贏得「泰晤士報年度最佳大學－Times University of the Year」的獎項。

而諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）有四個校區並提供範圍廣泛的各種科學和人文科學的約50種學位，分別是：
1. University Park Campus（大學公園校區）:是最大的校區，佔地約３３０英畝，位居市中心西方三公里處，校園內草木扶疏，有一座波光瀲灩的美麗湖泊，擁有現代化的教學設施、１２棟宿舍、一座會議室、展示中心與一座圖書館，以及多項運動設備與社交活動場所

2. Jubilee Campus（金禧校園）於１９９９年耗資五千萬英鎊興建而成，為教育學院，電腦學院，諾丁漢大學商學院的校區。提供研究所學生一流的教學設備與１５０個單人學生套房，本校區設有一座學習資源中心（LRC），學生可使用其全天候電腦實驗室的電腦配備

3. 醫學院（The Medical School）是英國本世紀第一所醫學學校，位於大學公園校區（University Park Campus）附近，與大學醫院結合而成皇后醫學中心，與鄰近多所醫院合作

4. 薩頓波寧頓（Sutton Bonington Campus）是University of Nottingham（諾丁漢大學）生物科學學校的學生上課主要所在地，位於諾丁漢郡（Nottinghamshire）與萊斯特郡（Leicestershire）的交界處，它如同其他校區有自己的校舍、宿舍與休閒運動設施。

另外，於２００５年在馬來西亞吉隆坡成立了馬來西亞校區（Malaysia Campus）以及２００６年於大陸寧波成立（Chain Ning-Bo Campus）。

 

諾丁漢（Nottingham），有著悠久的歷史。著名的綠林好漢羅賓漢的故事、浪漫時期詩人拜倫的故居所在也在這裡。然而諾丁漢郡（Nottinghamshire）主的城堡已燒毀，現址為藝術博物館對外開放。諾丁漢（Nottingham）是英國重要的工商業城市，著名藥品連鎖店博姿（Boots）的第一家店就開在諾丁漢，當地的萊禮自行車（Raleigh）也在英國具有一定市場佔有率。工業革命年代諾丁漢曾有大量紡織廠在此設立，至二次大戰後開始式微。

對熟悉諾丁漢的人而言，它無疑是一個適合居住和學習的好地方，在一項全國性的調查報告中，諾丁漢被票選為全英國最適合居住的城市。本市融合了新與舊最好的部份，喜愛購物者可到現代化的購物中心和傳統市場，此地的藝文活動也極為興盛，設備新穎的音樂廳和劇院終年提供演出頻繁的音樂、歌劇、舞台劇和芭蕾舞等節目。諾丁漢市（Nottingham）至今仍保存了許多古老的建築物，例如聳立於高地市集（High Pavement）那座１５世紀的聖瑪麗教堂（St. Mary），以及城中富喬治王朝風格的豪宅，還有數間外觀美侖美奐其歷史可遠溯至中古世紀的小酒館。

而諾丁漢（Nottingham）的運動設施人均擁有量比歐洲其他任何城市都高。在國家水上運動中心可以划船或者獨木舟。吸引大量觀眾的體育運動有諾丁漢森林和諾丁漢郡足球俱樂部；還有全國知名的布里奇倫特板球場（Trent Bridge　 Cricket Ground），以及諾丁漢黑豹冰球隊。

諾丁漢適中的地理位置（位於密德蘭郡－Midlands中心地帶）對於連接倫敦和其他位於北、南、東和西部的城市皆相當方便。 同時它亦擁有良好的公共交通網如公路、鐵路和航空運輸。對英國留學的學生來說，交通方便。

國際校區
諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）率先引進海外校園在馬來西亞，就在吉隆坡不遠的地方。緊接著在２００４年在中華人民共和國浙江省寧波市引進了校園。諾丁漢大學馬來西亞校區是第一個在馬來西亞的英國大學校園，在２００１年和２００６年分別獲得了企業女王獎和行業（國際貿易）女王獎。在２００５年９月，馬來西亞校區遷到了新建的校區，離吉隆坡市中心有３０公里。位於一個佔地１０１英畝，風景怡人，望眼是山的位置，這個校區是以參照英國的大學公園的特徵設計的。４０００萬英鎊投資的寧波校區在２００５年建成，像馬來西亞校區、寧波校區都是以英國的大學公園的特點建造的，並包括了一個湖和大學公園

諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）圖書館藏有一百多萬冊各種書籍和期刊，以及大量的手稿。同時，電子服務專案不斷增加，包括目錄、索引和電子期刊。圖書館分佈在幾個地點，每個地點都有專科工作人員。所有的圖書館都有借書和諮詢服務，學期中的晚上和週末都開放。

大學園的體育中心提供很多體育設施，如羽毛球、排球、籃球、五人半場足球、室內曲棍球、荷蘭式６人籃球、射箭、武術項目、乒乓球、舞蹈、有氧鍛煉、健身和迴圈訓練等。中心還有一個攀緣牆、司諾克撞球室、室內板球網、一個供舉重訓練的專門健身房，以及７個壁球場和一個運動損傷診所。體育中心的對面是 ２５m×１８m的現代化室內游泳池。這些資源都是在諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）留學期間可以好好利用的。

諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）的藝術和音樂設施很有名氣。湖畔藝術中心有賈諾格利藝術畫廊與表演廳（Djanogly Art Gallery and Djanogly Recital Hall）和安基爾遊客中心（Angear Visitors Centre）；工藝櫥窗裏展覽著當地藝術家的作品，還有新開的展覽館大衛赫伯特勞倫斯工藝館（David Herbert Lawrence Heritage Centre）。

諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）的學生會給學生提供了豐富多彩的活動，其下設１５０多個學生社團，另有７２個俱樂部附屬於學生會的體育部。諾丁漢大學的學生和成員每年都參加一系列的大學生運動，以及和老對手諾丁漢特倫特大學舉辦的體育項目。２００８年，諾丁漢大學部將最佳參與獎授予了學生會，以此獎勵他們提高了學生參與運動的積極性

諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）的住宿有特別的規定，凡是在規定期限以內提交申請的一年級學生均可以在校內住宿。宿舍房間為單人房間，建有中央空調系統，諾丁漢大學可為研究生在私人的公寓裏提供住宿。如果沒法在時間內提出申請，該校亦有與校外住宿中心合作，故學生還是有足夠的住宿地方，不過，建議留學諾丁漢大學（University of Nottingham）學生提早申請以免要住在校外。
學生宿舍提供了超過６０００套房間，分別由大學所有，或由外部開發商開發，全部都非常靠近校區：
包括現代的備有炊具的公寓、也有傳統的學生宿舍。
一日三餐包含在住宿費中，豐富的菜單可以滿足各種飲食需求。諾丁漢的宿舍的特色在於，每個校區的宿舍房間均可供殘疾學生使用，提供了面積更大的房間用於滿足額外的存儲或工作空間需求，還有修改過的浴室以及供聽力損失者使用的設施。

所有第一年的英國留學學生在８月１日以前確認入學（每一年都會有所變動，最新時間請上網查看），都可以由學校安排住進學校宿舍。有３４５０個名額，每年大約２１８１英鎊。
