坎特伯里基督大學（Canterbury Christ Church University）每一個學院皆有一位專科副校長（院系的領導）Pro-Vice Chancellor（Dean of Faculty），校務皆直接向副校長Vice Chancellor呈報。

該大學以其英國最優良的師資教育課程聞名，而最近委外進行的教學評鑑工作，就該校的課程教授及學習活動，給予了１５個學科評為「優秀」。它也以提供優良的衛生、社會照護的專業與訓練建立了越來越多相關的研究文獻資料和發展。「藝術、人文、商業與科學部」的跨學科榮譽學士學位課程具相當的靈活性，其研究所與專業進修教育的選課內容廣泛。

坎特伯里基督大學（Canterbury Christ Church University）是英國最大的大學學院之一，充滿友善的學術氣息。學校距離市區僅五分鐘的路程。坎特柏里（Canterbury）市是英國著名的觀光點，每年吸引兩千多萬名觀光客。目前全校共有大學生、研究生、語言學習生共 １３,０００ 名全職學生。坎特柏里（Canterbury）所在的肯特郡（Kent）有美麗的自然風光，被稱為是英國的花園。 倫敦、Gatwick 和 Heathrow 機場通往 Canterbury 的交通很方便。 來往倫敦和 Dover、 Folkestone 港口的鐵公路交通也相當便捷。Channel Tunnel 在 ３０公里之外，有往返巴黎與布魯賽耳的高速鐵路。

肯特（Kent），是英格蘭的一個郡，位於倫敦東南，其郡府是梅德斯通。肯特與東薩塞克斯、薩里和倫敦相鄰，與薩塞克斯相隔泰晤士河口。肯特鄰多佛海峽與法國相望，通過英法海底隧道它甚至與法國相鄰。對英國留學學生來說，交通便利。

郡內有兩座城市：坎特伯雷和羅徹斯特。不過１９９８年當地政府重新組織時羅徹斯特喪失了其城市的地位。

肯特被稱為「英格蘭的花園」，但是過去當地的田園風景現已被農莊工業取代了。此外在過去數世紀中其它工業也在肯特立足。棉紡、造鐵、造紙、水泥和工程都曾在此興旺。漁業和旅遊業今天依然在海岸地區非常重要。２０世紀東肯特煤田被開採，今天在鄧傑內斯有一座核電站。不過泰乃特被看作是東南英格蘭發展最少的地區。

海港、海底隧道和兩條英國機動車路是英國通向歐洲大陸的連接。漫斯頓和羅徹斯特各有一座機場。肯特境內還有兩座小機場。

著名的肯特人有查爾斯‧狄更斯與查爾斯‧羅伯特‧達爾文。肯特亦為溫斯頓‧邱吉爾的故鄉。
